About Me

Having a child with autism poses a whole new set of challenges in parenting. Not only do you have to address behavior intervention and education, but even basic medical care can be a challenge. Kids with autism are often more sensitive to sensory input. I struggled a lot with helping my child through doctor visits, but when it came to medication dosing, I couldn't make any progress. I worked with my child's doctor to find compound pharmacy options and in-office treatments that worked better. This site explains the trial and error we experienced and I hope it helps you to find ways to make your child's health care easier.
